Ads and unlocks
Watching one short ad unlocks every toy for 20 minutes. When the time's up TapCat takes you back to the menu and offers another ad, the one-time purchase, or free play with Dashing Dot.
If an ad won't load, check your connection and try again in a moment. Dashing Dot and ScratchPost are always free.
I bought Remove Ads but the ads are back
Open the Remove Ads menu on the home screen and tap Restore purchase. Make sure you're signed in to the App Store or Google Play with the account you bought it on.
Sign in with Apple and the super secret folder
Signing in is optional. It keeps your kitties' names and photos on TapCat's server so they come back on a new phone. We never ask Apple for your name or email address.
To sign out, or to delete your account and everything stored with it, open Settings (the cog on the home screen) and look under Super secret folder.
ScratchPost
Post a photo of your kitty from inside the app. Photos are checked by a human first and only approved ones appear, in the app and on the ScratchPost page here.
You can like photos, leave comments and reply to others. If a photo or comment shouldn't be there, report it from the app and it's reviewed within a day. You can also block a commenter, which hides their comments on your device.
To have one of your own photos taken down, email us with the kitty's name and roughly when you posted it.
Notifications
TapCat can send play reminders, and alerts about comments, replies, likes and new photos in ScratchPost. Choose which you want in Settings, or switch them all off in your phone's notification settings.
"A new TapCat is out!"
TapCat checks for a newer version when it opens and lets you know. Tap Update now to go to the store, or Later to carry on playing.
Cat play guidance
Keep play supervised, stop if your cat gets frustrated, and consider a sturdy case or screen protector. Claws and teeth are not covered by any warranty we know of.
Android
TapCat for Android is on Google Play. Some of the newest iPhone features, such as the kitty welcome and Sign in with Apple, arrive on Android a wee bit later.
